We do some crazy things to our bodies when we try to lose weight.  Have you seen some of the diets out there these days?  The Werewolf Diet, the Five-Bite Diet there’s even a Cotton Ball Diet just to name a few. (What are we doing to ourselves?!)

These fad diets may work initially (which is why they get so much press), but the reality is, they don’t last for the long term.  The challenge is finding something that works, and will last for the long term.  (That’s why you are here right?)

So if you want to lose weight AND keep it off, I suggest you start here first.

You’ve probably heard the stats:

  • 90% of diets fail
  • The average person goes on 4 diets a year
  • 60% of us are dieting right now….

I don’t know about you but this is crazy!  What is going on here?

Why do we have such a hard time losing weight?

OK – so there’s about a billion reasons why we struggle (it’s a bit of a can of worms) but there is also one fundamental reason that I see that often trips people up…

Are you ready for this?

They lack a plan.

Did you just roll your eyes?  I know, you probably think I’m stating the obvious here but maybe because it’s so simple is why it often gets over looked.

Now when I say ‘plan’ I don’t mean a ’30 day challenge’ or a restrictive ‘diet plan’, I’m talking about a plan that is designed for you – that fits your life and is sustainable.  Losing weight might come easy, it’s the keeping it off that’s the kicker.

Let’s face it, you probably already know everything you need to know to lose weight.  You just need to visit Mr. Google after all.  You see, that’s not the problem.  The challenge is in the execution.

And when it comes to execution, you need a plan.  That is, if you’re serious.

Have you heard that expression before? I think applies perfectly for those of us who want to lose weight.  I think that a lot of individuals who want to lose weight just wish they could because they haven’t taken the time to put a plan in place to make it happen.

So, if you’re serious, really serious that you want to lose weight, start with a plan.
